Advocating for better Hearing Access
There are many situations that require advocacy. Any time you speak up to make your hearing
needs known you are advocating both for yourself and for the next person that has special needs. Advocacy can be as simple and personal
as explaining to someone that you have a hearing loss and that you need that person to face you when they speak or it can have a much
wider impact when it takes the form of advocating for legislative changes that will improve the lives of hard of hearing people across
the state. When you receive a request to write a letter to a legislator, please do take the time to do so. Your voice counts! We hope
the information on this page will assist you in your advocacy efforts.
